The MYDNS Micro and Small Business Grant Programme represents a significant advancement for small business growth in Trinidad and Tobago. With a goal of assisting a minimum of 1,000 applicants annually over the next two years, the initiative spans diverse sectors. Successful candidates receive up to $20,000 (TTD), access to a 15-day Training Programme, as well as valuable Business Advisory Services and Mentorship.
Eligibility Checklist
Business Eligibility :
- A Business Idea;
- A Start-up (registered but not operational);
- An Existing Business
- Turnover less than TT$250,000 over the last 12 months (for an existing business); or
- Forecast Turnover for the first year of operation must be less than TT$250,000 (if not yet in operation).
Applicant Eligibility :
- Citizen or legal resident of Trinidad and Tobago.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Own 50% or more of the business.
- Must have a BIR number (for existing businesses).
- Must have a registered business (for start-ups and existing businesses).
- Comply with legal requirements necessary for operating their business.
- Possess relevant skills, experience, or qualifications to conduct the proposed business.
FAQ
A financial award that does not need to be repaid, used to support businesses in obtaining their goals.
Citizens and legal residents over the age of 18 years with a new business idea, start-up (registered but not operational) or existing business can apply.
